Photos
of Tupac's much-important body art...
Tupac
had 17 tattoos in all, each of which had a specific meaning and added to Tupac's
character. Upon examining some of these tattoos, it could be said that Tupac
quite literally wore his heart on his sleeve.
Chest
& Right Arm:
a - A
skull with the word 'Westside'. Detailed photos of this tattoo are very hard to
come across.
b - 'Heartless', above a skull.
Below the skull are the words 'My Only Fear Of Death Is Coming Back
Reincarnated'.
c - 'Notorious'.
d - The words 'Thug Life', meaning
'The Hate U Gave Lil' Infants, Fuck Everybody'. To represent his life
experiences, Tupac chose to have the letter I replaced with an image of a
bullet.
e - An AK-47 gun, with the words
'50 Niggaz' embedded. The number represents one black man in every U.S. state.
f - Tupac's stage name, 2PAC.
g - The head of Neferetete, an
Egyptian queen. Underneath are the words '2 DIE 4'.
Left Arm:
a - A
Black Panther -- possibly indicating homage to his roots.
b - Jesus' head burning on a cross
with the words 'Only God Can Judge Me'. A small tattoo on the inner arm also
reads 'Trust Nobody'.
c - The word 'Outlaw', trimmed by
Celtic bands.
Back &
Neck:
a -
The word 'Boss Playaz'
with a crown.
b - 'Fuck
The World'
c - A
reference to bible verse Exodus 18:11, surrounded by the large, Gothic Cross
logo of Amaru Records.
d - One
of two theatrical masks, reading 'Laugh Now'...
e - And
'Cry Later'.
f - The
word 'Ballin'' in large letters.
